From Claire Richardson, Winemaker

This wine is vibrant and refreshing! On the nose and palate it bursts with strawberries, zesty lemon, and peach. Layered in are flavors of lychee, green apple, and a delicate minerality. Its racy acidity drives a linear and precise structure, keeping the wine energetic and refreshing - start to finish.

The Vintage

Ample winter rains fueled a vigorous growing season, while mild temperatures through July extended hang times, enhancing phenolic ripeness for near-perfect fruit.

Winemaking

Direct press. Fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels for 8 months.

Food Pairing

Pair with Gulf oysters with strawberry and pink peppercorn mignonette

The Vineyard

Our 55 planted acres are within the Hoover’s Valley, which runs through the Llano Uplift formation in the Texas Hill Country AVA.

Situated near the banks of the Colorado River, the alluvial soils along with the significant mineral deposits make this a truly unique growing environment. Uplift itself has four distinct soil types, with each planted variety chosen for its suitability to the ground in which it resides: sand, granite, sandy loam and clay.

Mourvèdre Block A: est. 2015, 2019, granite soil, rootstock 1103P
