From Claire Richardson, Winemaker

Crisp acidity, medium density, and a multitude of flavors and aromatics come together to create a wine that is multi-dimensional. This blend of mostly Viognier and Roussanne has perfectly rounded edges that soften its structure and create layers of depth and complexity.

The Vintage

Ample winter rains fueled a vigorous growing season, while mild temperatures through July extended hang times, enhancing phenolic ripeness for near-perfect fruit.

Winemaking

Fermented and aged in 15% new French oak barrels for 8 months.

Food Pairing

Pair with lobster ravioli with white wine cream sauce and fresh parsley.

The Vineyard

Our 55 planted acres are within the Hoover’s Valley, which runs through the Llano Uplift formation in the Texas Hill Country AVA.

Situated near the banks of the Colorado River, the alluvial soils along with the significant mineral deposits make this a truly unique growing environment. Uplift itself has four distinct soil types, with each planted variety chosen for its suitability to the ground in which it resides: sand, granite, sandy loam and clay.
