The spirit of Uplift Vineyard is grounded in place, an ancient and awe-inspiring landscape in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Located within the Llano Uplift geological region, this site is among the most distinctive in the state for growing wine grapes. With 55 planted acres and 13 grape varieties, Uplift is the largest estate vineyard in the William Chris Wine Company portfolio. Every bottle bearing the Uplift label is made exclusively from estate-grown fruit, crafted to express the purity, nuance, and depth of this remarkable site.
Produced in extremely limited quantities, Uplift wines consistently rank among the highest rated in Texas. Reserved for members of an exclusive club, these wines reflect a commitment to excellence and a belief that Texas can stand shoulder to shoulder with the great wine regions of the world. This is a place and a portfolio for those who seek the very best.
WINEMAKING
Our winemaking philosophy is rooted in restraint, allowing the land to speak for itself. Through thoughtful, low-intervention techniques, we preserve the purity of the fruit and capture the natural elegance this site offers. Each vintage is crafted from only the top 10-20% of grapes grown on the estate, ensuring that every bottle reflects the very best of what this land can yield.
Leading the winemaking program is Claire Richardson, whose global experience and thoughtful, progressive approach bring a dynamic vision to Uplift. Claire is guided by a deep belief that Texas belongs among the world’s great winegrowing regions. She is joined by a collaborative team that includes consulting winemaker Jean Hoefliger.
UPLIFT VITICULTURAL SOCIETY
The Uplift Viticultural Society is a highly coveted membership, offering access to one of the most distinguished wine programs in the country. With fruit sourced solely from our estate vineyard in Hoover’s Valley, which produces some of the highest rated wines in Texas, membership is intentionally limited to preserve the integrity and rarity of each release.
